Title: Suppression of the thermal crosstalk effect in laser arrays
Abstract: In the paper the results of a numerical thermal crosstalk analysis of 540 nm nitride-based edge-emitting lasers are presented. The work investigated three different structures that provide effectives mode reduction in the active region of the emitter. A laser array consisting of two to ten emitters was considered. The obtained results show that a uniform temperature distribution in individual emitters can be achieved without a sophisticated control system, but only by properly placing the emitters in the array.
