Title: Investigation of the properties of an inductor with a hybrid core
Abstract: The paper proposes a new solution of inductor containing a hybrid core consisting of two connected ferromagnetic cores of identical sizes, made of different materials. Two inductors containing hybrid ferrite-powder and ferrite-nanocrystalline cores were used for the investigations. Using the known measurement set-up, the influence of the direct current on the inductor inductance and its core temperature was investigated. The investigations show that the use of a ferrite-powder hybrid core allowed to obtain higher inductance values in the whole range of direct current and almost 10% lower value of core temperature.
